Dilek Ayman
Dilek Ayman has graduated from Architecture Faculty of Yildiz University in 1986. She realized her first landscape works between 1986 and 1988 while working at ER-AL architucture studio, Istanbul. Between year 1988 and 1992, she specialized in landscape in France, at Versailles’ Ecole National Supérieure du Paysage. During the same years she worked for the Paris office of Architect Massimiliano Fuksas. Back in Istanbul, in years 1993-1999 she was in duty as a Academic Researcher at the Environmental Planing Dept. of the Architecture Faculty of Yildiz University. During 1999 she directed “Bahçenin Keşfi” (“The Discovery of the Garden”) workshop at Bilgi University. Between year 2000 and 2004 she worked as a landscape architect and completed in situ garden landscape for several EcoCenters of Montreal. The same years, she did surverys in the fields of urban ecology and urban gardening and did volontary works for Non Governemental Organisations involved in urban ecology, recycling and fair trade. In 2004-2005 she directed the Solid Waste Coordination at Fener-Balat Neighbourhood Rehabilitation Office. Between year 2005 and 2008 she directed student workshops at the Architecture Faculty of Yildiz University. In 2007 she worked as a project responsible at the Tema Organisation. From 2008 to now on she has been working at the Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture as a project specialist.
Since 2004 she’s got involved in the turkish No to GMOs campain as an activist, taking part of the organization of campains and activities. She is a member of Turkish Chamber of Architects and of the Bugday Association for Ecological Life (Buğday Ekolojik Yaşamı Destekleme Derneği).
